31.07.

Mommy looked in the window cause she didn’t have a key when she came back and could see Dady and me playing on the sofa. We were very happy to see her and after telling each other how our night was, we all went to the park nearby with the buggy. We played lots of games there, most of them involving the ball or mommy or daddy lifting me up in the air which I thought was great fun! On the way back we went to the new cafe right around the corner from the house where we had cake and milk and coffee. I didn’t‘ the like my apple pie and instead ate mommy’s chocolate fudge cake. Mommy told me that uncle Uwe is coming over today on the aeroplane and when I saw a picture of a plane later, I said „Uwe“. Except that uncle Uwe called soon after and told us that his flight from Stuttgart had been cancelled because another airplane had come off the runway and now there were no flights going at all! Uwe was very sad and so were we, but mum called the airline and at least got him on a flight over here on Wednesday. There were no others at all and the ones from Munich and Frankfurt were completely booked already. He is going back home on Saturday so he won’t even have much time over here.
When I woke up after my lunchtime nap we went to the shopping centre in Liffey Valley. There was lots to see; bright lights and lots of clothes and things. Mommy and daddy bought a few things for me and then I got to ride on a little train that goes around the shopping centre. It was very exciting and mommy and daddy walked beside me  and took pictures. There was another girl beside me in the carriage with her mom and she was a bit smaller than me so I helped look after her and patted the seat beside me to get her to sit down.
In the evening I found it very difficult to go to sleep; it had just all been too much I think. It took me two hours and mummy’s last nerve to finally make it. And then she had to come in to me loads of times at night cause I kept waking up crying. So we all had a bit of a rough night again.

30.07.

Daddy is here! I woke up last night and there he was! I didn’t know what
to make of that at first but then I went over to him and gave him a big
smile and a cuddle. Then I was all awake and couldn’t go back to sleep.
Mommy and daddy left me in the room to calm myself down and it still
took ages. And still I was up at 7 as per usual. So none of us got a lot
of sleep and instead of having breakfast together with Zoe and Michael,
mom and dad decided that we’d go to the house in Walkinstown to get
settled there. We went shopping and ate our way through the shop as
there were free tasters everywhere. Mom gave me a cracker to try and I
dipped it in the dip that was nearest to me. When I ate it, I started
coughing and my eyes got all teary. Mom got a bit of a fright because
the dip was olive oil with chilli. But it wasn’t so bad in the end‘ I
had some white bread and was fine then. When mommy and I left daddy to
get some cheese, we couldn’t find him again after. So we called him very
loudly; that was great fun! We found him again where the beers were. He
was picking out loads for himself and Uwe who is coming tomorrow cause
they had so many kinds and daddy was curious to try them.

Then I had a nice sleep in my new bed in my own room. Mommy got some
rest as well while daddy looked at his phone again.

In the afternoon we had nice pastry for tea and then we went to the
playground across the road. It was great fun, with a slide and a swing
and a lot of other fun things to go on. Mommy went back to the house
after a while to get dinner ready and dad and I played for a bit longer
and then went home as well. And then it was dinner time and time to go
to bed already and I only woke up once in the night and daddy didn’t
even have to come in to me as I calmed myself down again. Mommy was out
for the night with her friend Deirdre but came back early the next day
cause she was missing us.

29.07.

So today was awesome! I didn’t have to lie down for a lunchtime nap cause we were on a day trip in Howth. We took our time heading off and then I had a little sleep in the car on the way over. When I woke up we had a little walk around but I wasn’t that much into the whole nature thing, but liked the look of the sea below us. So we went back to the car and down to the harbour to be closer to that and when we got there around 11.30 there was lots happening; there were seagulls everywhere! Mommy told me that the fish had been brought in early in the morning and had now been processed so there were boxes of the leftovers standing around being put into a truck. The seagulls wanted their share and were going mad fighting over the stuff and letting us get real close cause they didn’t care cause they were hungry. We watched them for a good while and then went up the pier where we saw a real sea lion in the water! Also lots of poo-poo from the seagulls on the ground everywhere as I kept pointing out to mum.

Then it was lunchtime and we went to a nice seafood restaurant where mommy and I shared a seafood chowder to start with. I let her have all the veg and ate loads of fish! Daddy would be proud of me! I was really well behaved at the beginning but later got pretty tired. My main course was yummy steamed salmon and nice mash, but I wanted mommy’s food instead. Well I mean, she didn’t really think she could give me that and then order loads of fried stuff for herself! She even had a dip so there was no way I was having my boring food. Healthy my ass, gimme the good stuff!
There was no changing facility so we just washed hands and mommy changed me in the car. She is getting a bit tired of dealing with everything on her own because I am still pretty high maintenance, but tomorrow night daddy will get here. She keeps taking pictures of me to send to him and then I want to see pictures of daddy in turn.
So with a fresh nappy on, mummy put me in the car seat and drove around for a while till I fell asleep. She had a rest in the front seat and when I woke up we went to have ice cream for tea. I had pineapple but half way through took mommy’s chocolate off her and told her she could have my pineapple, but she didn’t want it. But she doesn’t mind, honestly!
Then we went to the train station to take a train. We had to wait for AGES and I entertained myself by walking to the end of the platform with her. From there we could see the sea and I decided I would prefer going to the beach to going on the train. We can do that some other day when the weather isn’t so nice. We actually saw the sun a few times today! Mommy was a bit mad because she had checked out the forecast specially and was told it would rain a tiny bit around lunchtime and the rest of the day was gonna be cloudy. Instead it was raining all morning and mommy brought loads of clothes to change into cause she brought no rain gear over for me. I mean come on mommy, seriously???!!! No rain gear in Ireland????!!!! Anyways, in the end it was dry after 10.30 and we got to do everything we wanted to. Mommy did need the change of clothes though, cause at the beach I got myself all wet and mucky. It was great fun and mommy promised we would go to the beach again with daddy.
Back home I ate ok and went to sleep straight away so mommy was very happy!

27.07.

I woke up before mommy and when I realized she was still asleep I whispered „mama“ and stroked her shoulder gently with my little hand. She loved that.

I LOVE balls! I mean I knew they existed before and always had fun playing with them, but now I’m starting to throw them in such a way that people can catch. Mommy and I had a great morning in the park, even though we were both tired. I was awake at least once every hour and gave mommy a hard time, constantly calling out to her needing something. She tried to ignore me but I always had the longer breath. She says she will have to leave the room next time. I don’t know what happened; I think I was hungry cause I didn’t have much dinner last night. Right now I am up in the room for my lunchtime nap, but I can not calm down for some reason. I keep calling mommy, probably cause I’m used to getting the attention now when I want it. I did nearly go to sleep first time around, but when mommy came in to lie down beside me I woke up and wanted to play with her. Now she is mortified because she thinks I am waking Michael up. Just like I woke up Zoe all night last night.

So anyways, we were in the park this morning playing with the ball and throwing toys for Maggie. She did three poo’s!!!! And I threw them into 3 different bins. The park yesterday had no bins and the one today had about 20. We also played on the playground again and we were the first ones and everything was still wet from the rain the previous night („naa!!“).

So we had a good lunchtime nap after all; even mommy got an hour’s sleep and we got ready quickly and then went to the zoo! The best thing were the elephants and the sea lions. The sea lions were playing and going onto the platform in the water and throwing each other down into it. Mommy and I were doing the sounds they were making. And the elephants were standing right beside the window in the elephant house having food. The hay was hanging above them so when they got it with their trunks they opened their mouths and we could look right into them! And one was standing like a few steps away from us with his bum pointing toward us and he did a big fat pooh!!!!! That was really amazing, I kept saying „poo-poo“ cause I just couldn’t believe it and kept pointing even though there was little chance mommy would miss that!! And then there were baby elephants running around and they were really cute. And then there was a big tiger right beside the window of his enclosure and that was amazing; his paw was as big as my head! Mommy was looking forward to seeing the orangutans but when we saw them up close behind the window I was scared. But then at that at stage I was tired as well. I was VERY happy though when mommy bought me a special ballon on the way home. I did not want to let it go getting into the car and was very upset when mommy just took it, but she says it is impossible putting the two of us in at the same time cause we have such a crappy rental car. So I got over it

26.07.

This morning I went to Blanchardstown shopping center with mommy. It was amazing, they had a water fountain and music and lots of lights. And space! I was running around like a mad yoke and we went up and down the elevator just for fun! And they had another elevator for buggies, that was cool! In the first shop we went to mommy got me a ball; she let me pick it myself! I was throwing and running after it in the store but nobody seemed to mind. Mommy says they are used to much worse from kids here. Before we got the ball I was pulling mommy’s basket around for her and that was such great fun that I didn’t see where mommy was going and then I lost her and then I called her and she called me and then we found each other again and I was very happy!
Later mommy got 2 cream doughnuts for us and we only managed one between us. Very yummy! Mummy said daddy will have to get us back to better eating habits when he is over, but I don’t see why. I wouldn’t mind having sweet and salty and fatty foods all day.
After my lunchtime sleep we went to the kennels to pick up 2 lurchers who have been in there for weeks and therefore are very sad. We made them a little bit happier by taking them to the park and letting them have a good run around. We were there for 2 hours and the 2 of them were licking my face and jumping around me and chasing the ball I threw for them and taking treats out of my hands. And they seemed hungry; they were trying like mad to take my tea off me when we had it in the park. Then we dropped them back and went home where aunty Zozo had made another nice dinner for us with rice and veg and chicken. I ate very little though, cause I was very tired and wanted to play with the cat and wasn’t that hungry cause we’d been eating all day. So I got up and played with the cat and then auntie Zoe and I played on the trampoline for ages. I was sweating after and so was she! She is great fun!

Note to Self: remind mommy to buy Petit Filous for me when we are back home. I love that stuff! She says it’s called Fruchtzwerge over there.

This morning I slept till 7 and only woke up once during the night. Mommy gave me a drink and then I went back to sleep. So we both had a good rest and are in a good mood today!
After my breakfast of porridge with raisins and cinnamon I had another go on the trampoline and then mommy and I went to a park nearby in the car. Mommy said there was a playground and even though it took us a while to find it, I loved it when we got there and was trying out all the different things you could do there. I didn’t like other children going on them, but apparently that’s the way it is… Mommy and I also went down a massive slide, but even though I wanted to go again she said we wouldn’t cause she nearly had a heart attack getting me up there. It’s meant for bigger children she says. We spent over an hour on the playground though and when we got back I was quite tired. Mommy made me a sandwich while I had some grapes and after lunch I was very good for her going to bed. I went up the stairs as soon as she mentioned going to bed, helped her change my nappy and went to lie down in bed all by myself. I have been asleep for nearly 2 hours while she is researching places she can go with me. She says Ireland is not very child friendly and that it’s no wonder everyone takes their children to the shopping center and restaurants all the time and that that’s why all the Irish children are spoiled and fat. I think it’s not as simple as that but don’t want argue with her.

So I got into bed a bit late today cause we were visiting Deirdre and there was a traffic jam on the way back. Aunty Zozo made lovely sausage and chips for us and I was munching away and then got up off the table early because I wanted to play with the cat. I can say his name now, but he does not come when I call him. Then I had another go on the trampoline with Michael holding my hand and when mommy said it was time to go to bed I ran out the room and up the stairs ahead of her. Unfortunately mommy thought I should have a shower tonight and while I said I wanted to have it, I did get scared again when it actually happened. Mommy even came in with me, but I screamed the place down. As soon as we were done I was fine though and brushed my own hair while mommy dried it. Then we looked at a book and I told her I wanted to sleep in the cot tonight. When she put me in it and left I fell asleep straight away. I am now dreaming of auntie Deirdre and how I played with her and gave her hugs. She was delighted and kept saying my name while I kept saying hers. Mommy was very proud of me cause I entertained myself for half an hour while they had a chat. Night night Deade.

24.07.

I slept very badly last night and mommy is very tired now. When I woke up at 1.30 I found it hard to get back to sleep and didn’t manage till nearly 4am. In the morning I was playing with the dog and the cat again and the trampoline and then mommy put me back into bed again around 10and I slept for 45 minutes, after which we went to se Zozo’s mom and dad. They had lots of toys for me and some lovely food. I was tired and played shy for a long time, but after a while I played with everyone and didn’t wanna go home anymore. When we did get back home there was lots happening and mommy took me out for a walk to calm down. I walked a lot of the way and had my second great fall, scraping the same knee that was only just healing up. But I was very brave about it and spent the walk home talking to myself about it. Auntie Zozo and uncle Micheal admired my knee and then we had dinner, which I didn’t really like apart from the cheese in it. So mommy made me a slice of bread with butter which I ate. Going to bed we were playing a lot and I was messing a bit but when I was in bed I went to sleep without getting out of the bed. Mommy is very proud of me! She is hoping I will sleep better.

23.07.

I woke up at around 8 am and met auntie Zozo and uncle Michael and Maggie the dog and Alan the cat. I was playing with all of them and soon was ready for my lunchtime nap as I still needed to catch up on sleep. When I woke up, mommy and I went to her house to visit her tenants and their little girl Amelia. I liked looking at all her toys, she has lots of them, and then her dad gave me some ice cream and we sat outside having it. I was rowing with her a few times as well but all in all we had a good time. Mommy looked at the house as well and noted what needed to be done in it. We went home for 6pm and then mommy, Zozo and I went to the shops to get wipes and then got fish and chips to take home. I LOVED the chips and had lots of them and a little bit of cod as well. When mommy put me to bed I wanted to sleep in the one I had been in the night before, a little blow up one. I kept getting out of it though so mommy put up the travel cot and then I stayed in my bed cause I didn’t wanna sleep in the cot.

Mommy and I had a great afternoon with grandma Tina, they picked me up together and I ran over to grandma straight away. I think mommy was a bit jealous. Then we went home, picked up Judy and then walked to the Agnes Neuhaus Cafe. There was a group of people there and lots of children so I was very busy watching everybody and playing along. Then I had some ice cream and we went home. Grandma left for the bus on the way and when we got home I just kept myself busy while mommy was packing for Dublin. The flat looked like it was hit by a bombshell. But mommy said that’s ok because daddy was gonna have plenty of time to tidy up. Daddy is staying here for a week while we are over there and then he will follow us over. So after dinner I was excited to find that I was not heading to bed but instead getting ready to go out. We went to the airport in the car and there wa lots for me to see. We handed up our bag and then had some water together before daddy said goodbye and we went through some gates and stuff and finally got on a big airplane. I was sitting on mommies lap for takeoff but then I started climbing on the seat beside us and met a baby sitting in front of us.  We had a great time playing, opening and closing the shutters and jumping on the seats, playing hide and seek and stuff. Mommy said that the boy was very spoilt because he kept crying and shouting at his parents. She said he was like Sebastian, but I didn’t notice – he was great to play with. When the plane went back down again I was very tired though; it’s been a long time since I have been up so late. I managed to stay awake a bit longer and mommy said I was very good for her. I fell asleep at the conveyer belt though waiting for the luggage and when I woke up I was in a strange house in a strange bed and couldn’t see mommy anywhere so I started screaming big time. Mommy was there then to calm me down and when she told me that we were at Zoe’s house I felt better and went back to sleep – for a little while anyways.
